Public IP Address

What is a Public IP Address?

A Public IP Address is a unique address that identifies your server on the internet, allowing it to communicate with other devices and be accessed from anywhere in the world. When you have a public IP for your instance, it means that anyone with that IP address can connect to your server (if permissions allow), which is essential for hosting websites, applications, or any online service. Public IPs are accessible over the internet, unlike private IPs, which are used only within internal networks.
